Elephant poems!

We wrote some elephant poems today and miss BB thinks they are marvellous! Come back tomorrow when we will have some audioboos of our poems for you to listen to.

In the artists workshop

The artists from Starfish Production Company had some special time in the studio with Oliver Jeffers today so that they could learn to recreate his unique style for the additional pages in his book.

Today we did do ate we tried to copy Oliver jeffers ate.

Nocturnal animal guide books

WPIT  made some guide books to help Backwoods Billy Baxter learn about British nocturnal animals. We found out about their tracks and the sounds they make. More information coming soon Billy!

Some lovely stories

We received some wonderful post last week - in the envelope there were fabulous story books from our friends in Woodpecker class in Brighton! 

 

 We thought the stories were excellent and were so amazed by the neat handwriting. We were also impressed with all the wow words that were used. The stories were based on Dick Whittington, but with some other animals. Fab work!

 The books were illustrated beautifully too! You are great writers Woodpeckers! Thank you for sharing your stories with us!

Badger Publishing Company

We had videomail from a Miss Read this week and she had a bit of a problem. She was going on holiday and didn't have enough room in the case for her daughter's favourite book - The Hungry Caterpillar. She wanted to know if we could help. We thought about it for a while and came up with some good ideas. We thought that the best idea was that we make her daughter a book on the ipad. So we set to work.

What do you think of our stories? We changed them a bit because we thought her daughter might like to listen to something new!

Phoebe's 100 word challenge

It was mothers day and Elizabeth was gowing to the pub and it was just gowing to be perfect. Evry body at the restrant was dilited and even she invited peppel to give her good lug and she got a wondfull card and flowrs and even she was dresst nieslee and she was very lucky bcause she got a cake and it was a nise pub it had nise food and suddenly the weather changed for the worst.

Harrison's 100 word challenge

There was a man and a lady and they went on a cruise ship and the cruise ship went out of its port to the ocean until the weather changed for the worst and it took an hour to get water in it and it sank and all the lifeboats sunk and they sunk and had to swim back and avenchually they got back and got married and they never sor the ship again and it is still sinking but and then it got to holes in it and every one survived and that is the end
