Our beautiful art work is finally finished!

The artist's workshop

We have been exploring textures and colours in the artist's workshop today. The backgrounds for our book art work have been coming along nicely. We all used the photocopier too for our collages.

Publishing the books!

All the authors have been working hard on Oliver Jeffers' request. Thank goodness the writers had all had a masterclass in his workshop to get the art work right!. Molly has worked so hard that she is now turning her book into a digital book for ipads. Of course it will be a talking book for all the young children who are unable to read yet. It's coming along nicely!

The artists from Starfish Production Company had some special time in the studio with Oliver Jeffers today so that they could learn to recreate his unique style for the additional pages in his book.

Starfish Production Company!

Today Starfish Production Company had a special request from the famous author, Oliver Jeffers!

We thought his book 'The Incredible Book Eating Boy' was pretty good how it was, but we like a challenge, so set to work improving it anyway!

Firework poems!

We thought about some great firework words. We learned about the word onomatopoeia and we used onomatopoeic words in our poems.

Molly made a quick puppet pals movie of her poem. The others will be on here soon too!

Ask the experts!

Today we had some experts from Rabbit class come and answer all of our questions about the gunpowder plot. They knew a lot if facts and we learned loads!
