Our wasp killing machines!

This post is a bit late, but when we had our drama day, we all showed how the wasps affected us, then became wasp killing machines!

At the tea time meeting the villagers came back with their designs for killing the wasps. there were some fabulous ideas and the mayor thought that we would get rid of the wasps in no time at all!

Of course the way that we ended up getting rid of the wasps was with a giant jam sandwich!

The first meeting!

The villagers went to the meeting about the wasps, led by the Mayor. They had some ideas about what to do about the wasp problem, but the problem was that they weren't sure whether they had the right things to get rid of the wasps.

After the meeting the villagers went to their workshops to design and create their inventions and ideas. Lots of them had ideas about their inventions based on the jobs that they did.

Meanwhile, in the village, the wasps were causing havoc! Look at our 'freeze frame ... action!'

At the police station

When we all got to the police station, we found the baker was there! She was in tears because she had lost her bag, so was very surprised to find that we were handing it in to the police. She was so pleased that we were so honest. She told us how she had managed to lose her bag, then answered lots of questions that we wanted to ask her about being a baker.

The baker thought we were very clever villagers, so invited us to join a village meeting that afternoon about the wasp problem, to find out what to do about it.

We got some special gloves to open the bag, then Max very carefully opened it. Look what we found!

 a biscuit sack, some wasp spray and  some sting relief.

When we saw what was inside, we had lots of different ideas about who the bag belongs to. Ashton thinks the bag belongs to Big Barry baker

Jake thought that the bag belonged to a fly killer.

Darcie thought the bag belong to a baker because it has an apron and a rolling pin.

We then jumped back in time to the previous day and read the news headlines. They helped us a lot!

We went to the village to find out what it was like to live there. We agreed it wasn't nice! Look at our freeze frames and soundscapes.

What's in the bag?

Today we found a bag outside the chemist just laying in the road! Who on Earth could it belong too? What could be in it? Hmmm...this needed careful thinking and a bit of detective work! We all had some great ideas about what was in the bag! Some thought it was a scientist's or chemist's bag, with dangerous potions in! Others thought it belonged to James Bond.

Some of us thought we shouldn't open the bag in case it had dangerous things in. So Jake and Ashton both said  at the same time 'We need a decision alley!' Listen to some of the reasons for and against.

Wilf again!

Oh dear - the Fairytale Travel Company had decided that they would have to sort out a package holiday for Wilf, but forgot to tell him! He sent another video message...

Luckily we had started work on our guide books for him, so were able to give him some good news!

What's the weather?

We got another message from Wilf today. he wants to know whether we can help him with an itinerary and he also would like to know what to pack in St Lucia as he has no idea what the weather is like. 

We found out that St Lucia is near the equator, so we knew it would be hot, but we thought we had better check on the internet. When we found out how hot it was, but that it rains too, we had some great ideas about what Wilf should pack.
