Art gallery grand opening

Today we had a grand opening of our Art Exhibition. We have been working really hard on our self portraits. We learned how to sketch in detail, colour mix and find skin tones. For the backgrounds we used viewfinders to find natural patterns in the environment. We then used vibrant colours to make these patterns stand out. What do you think?

Of course there was lots of behind the scenes work for our opening. Not only was there a lot of art work being created, but a healthy buffet needed preparing and flapjacks needed baking. Lots of our families came for the opening. It was wonderful!

We found some funny aliens and have put up some wanted posters.

Harvest time

On Friday afternoon we had a walk down to the church in Roydon. Reverend Rob told us some stories about the animals that live in the church. We then explored the church and sang Rob a song about animals.
